What is an Accidental Mentor ?
Hi Friends!
You probably have listened to some of the podcasts with Julie and me, where we talked about the last 20 years. We talk about what we remember, and what we learned along the way. If you haven’t listened yet- it is a 5-hour conversation that we broke down into 10 episodes that are a bit topical. I went into this with not much of a plan, but to talk with Julie over our whole relationship- and honestly- you can tell. Future episodes will be as authentic AND we will improve the format a bit.
Why the Accidental Mentor?
Honestly, I am not an expert on mentoring. I don’t think I am an expert on any subject… instead, I am a generalist. I want to make the complex simple and the theoretical-practical. That is what I do when I facilitate, and it is what I do in my coaching practice.
So, as a lifelong Mentee and Mentor - I want to break it down for you and encourage you to slow down and lean into authentic relationships. All kinds.
Why a Community?
Why a community, you ask? Because we're stronger together. I'm eager to hear about your personal experiences with mentoring and personal development. What topics would you like us to explore? What questions or concerns do you have? Your input is invaluable to us.
Vision for the Future of the Podcast
I want to mix what you are asking with what I have experienced in the last 30 years. I will bring on real friends for a while because I think the authentic connection lends itself to learning. I will also do short episodes called “Mentor Minutes” between seasons, where I will also answer your questions.
Why Should I subscribe?
If you subscribe, I won’t email you often, but I will be sure to connect with you when we open up a forum and grow. I am just figuring this out as I go along and want to bring you with me if you are interested in a Ride!
